I have watched way too much random television tonight. I was watching MonsterQuest on The History Channel. I swear, I'll believe anything The History Channel tells me. Whether it is that an eight foot tall monster might live in the grasslands of Ohio, or a huge cat-like creature killing pets and various animals in North Carolina, hell, if channel 62 told me that the only real god is the pink CareBear, I would believe it in a heartbeat. Okay, so obviously they did not prove the existence of any of these monsters, and the only true god is the purple Carebear, but it was interesting to mention anyway.
After MonsterQuest, I watched Dawson's Creek. Shit, do you remember that show? I remember watching it when I was in 4th grade and loving it. I stopped long before it ended, and I do believe the episode I randomly caught was the last. It was interesting to see where they all ended up, even though the last time I even thought about any of the characters was when I was ten years old. It was so funny to hear that Paula Cole song as well.
After watching the monsters and Dawson's Creek, I needed something happy to view so I could sleep well. I was channel surfing and stumbled upon Captain Planet! This was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. Too bad it is not happy at all! A poor little baby elephant was crying because all of her family was taken away by poachers. The South American with the "heart" power keeps calling the baby elephant "Sneezer".
I remember anytime I had a decent sized ring, I would pretend I had all of those powers. I would totally do the whole bit of raising it in the air and saying what my powers were. While it is sad now, I am sure Captain Planet and the Planeteers shall triumph in the end, and I shall sleep with happy thoughts in my head.
This was the most random blog ever. I should probably do something a bit more productive at night.
My mom says I am going to collapse one of these days because I am always awake at this hour. Oh well, at least I have these cute shades:
Well, actually it's my mask Tallulah but thanks anyway :)
I don't believe I watched any of these shows ever in my life. They are amusing. I grew up with Where in the World is Carman Sandiego, Inspector Gadget, Rescue Rangers, Dark Wing Duck... and I can't remember what else. I watched more shows like I Love Lucy and Matlock when I was little. For serious.
Loved the bit about the History Channel & care bears god. lol
Dawson's Creek SUCKED - of course, I was a Senior in High School when it first aired in 1998, so I was too old for something like that I guess. LOL.
I guess Dawson's creek was to you what Beverly Hills 90210 was to me though - I watched that show when I was in the 4th grade { from it's premier in 1990, I only watched it for a year or two though - no where near as long as it stayed on the air.}
As for old cartoons, these are the ones I watched {Capt. Planet was not one of them. lol}: The Snorks, The Smurfs, She-ra, Fat Albert, Thunder Cats, Rainbow Brite & SO many more. I was a product of the 80's. haha.

Hey, Lady. I noticed NKOTB was going to be in Vegas when I was there last weekend. I had an immediate flashback. Even though they are not my thing anymore, it still gave me a nostalgic moment. Enjoy!
it used to be one of my favorite shows. Besides Rainbow Brite.
